Support groups are safe and welcoming spaces to meet with other parents and caregivers who are also supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or nonbinary, and questioning (“LGBTQ”) children. The group is run by trained volunteers, most of whom are parents themselves, and is filled with people who can offer support, answer questions, and link you to resources. Whatever information you share will be confidential. This group is for parents, friends, and family members of the LGBTQ community including parents of lesbian, gay & bisexual youth, as well as transgender, nonbinary & questioning youth. It’s open to anyone who would like to attend and would like to give or offer support to people in their community. The majority of people who attend are parents of LGBTQ people. No matter where you are with supporting your child, our support group is ready to welcome you.

HELPLINE (866) 427-3524 Greater Boston PFLAG also offers a helpline, staffed by trained volunteers, and our One to One Parent Program can arrange for you to meet with a volunteer if you prefer that, don’t want to wait until the next meeting or getting to meetings is difficult.

Sponsored by: Greater Boston PFLAG, Lexington Chapter.
