Lexington Symphony Presents “Preserving Heritage” (11/10)

Lexington Symphony’s upcoming Preserving Heritage program brings us music of hope and resiliency. All three pieces tell an inspiring story of perseverance and hope emerging from times of turmoil. Verdi’s Nabucco overture packs the opera’s dramatic majesty into one crowd-pleasing piece; guest soloist Kendra Colton’s bright soprano breathes color and clarity into Canteloube’s evocative collection of French folk songs, while Hindemith’s symphony journeys through conflict and loss to an ultimately triumphant, life-affirming conclusion. I hope you’ll consider joining us!:
