Lexington MLK Day Commemoration and 8th Annual MLK Day of Service

The Town of Lexington will hold its 28th commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day with its 8th Annual MLK Day of Service by offering online programming and volunteer charitable activities to assist those in need. United in philanthropy under the auspices of the Town Celebrations Committee, our target this year is to serve 2,500+ underserved community members.  Please sign up to attend and/or volunteer at

Charitable activity specifically for youth and families: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Home & Comfort Online Service Activity for Children and Families. Join a youth-focused discussion and charitable activity on Zoom, designed for youth and families supporting Hope & Comfort, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending hygiene insecurity for people in need. Participants will learn more about Hope & Comfort, hygiene insecurity and its connection to other social justice issues, pack hygiene kits for youth recipients, and make well-wish cards. Materials needed include: Gallon ziploc bags and at least one of the following hygiene products: shampoo, bar soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and toothbrush.
