Last year a group of teachers, students, and community members came together to create LHS’s first Black History Month pop-up museum. The museum was designed to enrich students’ understanding of Black history, supplement their learning in their academic courses, and give them the opportunity to celebrate the artistic, literary, and musical achievements of the Black and African American community.
Since then, the museum has been archived and updated so the community can access it in a completely digital space. I am very appreciative of the work conducted last year and this year to create, curate and update this wonderful resource.
