Lex Lights the Night

Lex Lights The Night

is a free grab & go event for Lexington residents/students meant to promote walking, biking & rolling (wheelchair, scooters). It is all about active transportation and doing so in a fun, safe way, especially with a focus on #BeSafeBeSeen at night with fun reflective decals for people of all ages to deck out their backpacks, jackets, helmets, bikes, etc. Registrants will select whether they want a Pedestrian/Wheelchair pack, Bike Pack, or Combo Pack. In addition to the reflective decals, they will receive related lights (bike lights/lights to wear). If the participant is a student and the family selects the school they are at, we will also include the relevant Safe Routes to School map and age appropriate material to help educate and encourage active transportation. Packets will include a range of safety, educational, and other materials to get everyone ready and energized for spring walking, biking, and rolling! The event is for people of all ages & abilities.

There will also be a related social media event for people to share selfies of themselves and their decked out gear! (#LexLightsTheNight, #BeSafeBeSeen)
