Zoom Event (register here)
Two of Massachusetts’ Zero Waste champions, State Representative Michelle Ciccolo, Chair of the bipartisan Zero Waste Caucus, and Kirstie Pecci, Director of the Conservation Law Foundation’s Zero Waste Project, will lead us in conversation.
They will explain the imperative to reduce the waste that goes into incinerators and landfills. Each year, the burning and landfilling of this waste creates greenhouse gases and pollution, which often escapes into our environment, contaminating resources and harming human health and the health of our natural systems.
Come learn about the active initiatives at the state level as well as steps you can take through action and advocacy to decrease waste and create a healthier environment for all.
Please sign up at this link (preregistration required). Free and open to all.
Co-sponsored by Lexington Climate Action Network, Lexington Zero Waste Collaborative and LPS Green Teams.
