Babysitting & Safety Training (ages 11-15)

American Red Cross Babysitting Basics. Learn what to do in an emergency; choosing age appropriate activities; basic first aid, epi pen training, hands-only CPR; and how to start a babysitting business.  Upon successful completion students receive a printable certificate from the American Red Cross.  All equipment and materials provided.  Meets Tuesday, January 11 and Thursday, January 13 from 4:15-7:00pm, LHS Room 167, $135. Art Studio: Oil Pastels (Grades 2-6) 

Using oil pastels, you will produce your own compositions of various art subjects.  Drawing methods used in this course are outline then the creative strokes using oil pastel sticks. Meets Tuesdays beginning January 11, 4:00-6:00pm, Zoom, $220. KPAC

Creative Writing for Teens in Grades 7-9

We will discuss various principles of writing and storytelling through collaborative storytelling projects, quiet prompted writing time, and sharing (for those who wish to share), discussing and critiquing writing. Meets 6 Wednesdays beginning January 12, 3:30-5:00pm, Zoom, $90. KEEN

Draw & Paint Pet Portraits, Rain Forest Animals & their Habitat Landscapes (Grades 6-8)

Learn  the essential art techniques needed to render portraits of your pets and a variety of rainforest animals and their habitat landscapes. Each student will create artwork based on the subject of their choice.  Included:  Mixing Nature’s Color Palette, Animal Anatomy, Habitat Landscapes, Composition and more. Meets 4 Thursdays beginning January 13, 3:30-5:00pm, LHS, Room 166, $68. KDRAW

Dungeons & Dragons for Middle Schoolers

This ever popular game of logic and imagination begins with the creation of characters with the rolling of dice. You and your collaborators guide your characters through an imaginary journey encountering exciting adventures along the way. Both experienced players and beginners are welcome.  6 Mondays beginning January 24 from 4:00-6:00pm, Zoom, $100.  KCDD

Proper Etiquette for Students in Grades 6-9

A thorough introduction to good etiquette and proper manners for middle school students.  Meets two Saturdays beginning January 29, 10:30am – 11:30pm, via Zoom, $49. KET6

Que Delicioso for Middle Schoolers 

Learn how to make authentic and traditional desserts from different Spanish speaking countries while learning about the culture and history behind each dish. Fiction Writing Workshop for Middle Schoolers

Cook Kids Cook! Cooking Around the World for Grades 4-8

Young chefs get to chop, mix, and roll their way to a different delicious dish, or two in each class. We will be cooking up some of the fabulous flavors of Italian, Indian, Vietnamese,  & French foods. A grocery list will be sent to participants.
