As part of our work to improve the elementary school day schedule for our students, the Elementary Scheduling Committee is eager to hear feedback and ideas from parents and community members. To that aim, we are holding family and community virtual focus groups and invite your participation.
The focus groups will be on:
- Tuesday, February 7 from 3:00pm-4:00pm
- Thursday, February 9 from 9:00am-10:00am
Each group will have 8-10 participants, and we will share the questions in advance. You can expect questions and prompts like, what part(s) of the day does your child enjoy the most? What works well about the elementary schedule for your child and family? and I really wish my child had more opportunities in the school day to do ______.
If you are interested in participating, please complete this brief form. In order to ensure representation from many different parents and community members, and to keep the group size manageable, we will collect interest and then notify you if you have been selected to participate in a focus group. Preference will be given to respondents who currently have, or will have, students in the elementary grades in LPS. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
