Crazy 8s Math Club

Crazy 8s is an over-the-top recreational after-school club that gets kids excited about math.  It offers high-energy math activities that appeal to kids of all math abilities. Participants build glow-in-the-dark structures, crack secret spy codes and play get-up-and-move games like Toilet Paper Olympics. Curriculum and materials are provided free by the Bedtime Math foundation.

Crazy 8s meets once a week for 8 weeks. Consistent attendance is needed in order for students to gain the most benefits from the program. Parent volunteers guide students through the kit activities. Crazy 8s is run by parent volunteers. A minimum of 2 parent volunteers is needed per session.

For Grades K-2, Crazy 8s Season 1 will be meeting from 7:30-8:30AM on Fridays, starting January 10 through March 6. We are running two groups, led by parents Julianna Stockton and Elaine Yang. There is space for a few more students. Please email Elaine Yang, eyang12@gmail.com, with your child’s name, grade, teacher, and parent name/email, if interested.

For Grades 3-5, we currently looking for more parent volunteers. Please contact Allan Konar, konarster@gmail.com, if you can help. The Grade 3-5 club would meet on a different morning (not Friday).
