School Council Election 2018-2020

Thank you for voting in the election for a single seat on the Estabrook School Council for the 2018-2020 term!

Below are the bios and statements from the two candidates running for the seat. Please review the information provided and vote via the link at the bottom of the page.

Voting is open from May 21, 2018 through May 25, 2018. Results of the election will be made available the following week.

Dr. Chhandomay Mandal has nearly 25 years of experience spanning academia and high-tech industry. He has been awarded 13 patents by US Patent Office. Dr. Mandal holds PhD in Computer Science from Univ. of Florida, MBA from Kelley School of Business of Indiana Univ., and BTech from Indian Institute of Technology. He has held leadership positions in marketing and engineering organizations in many prominent companies including EMC, Dell and Sun Microsystems. His academic experience includes a research assistant position at Univ. of Florida. Currently he serves as Marketing Director at EMC where he leads solutions enablement, partnering, and business development for key solutions areas like databases, virtualization and healthcare.

Why I would like to serve on the Estabrook School Council:
I would love to serve in the Estabrook School Council to help the administration in its endeavor to achieve total excellence in all aspects of student activities, both academic and extra-curricular. From the academic standpoint, I would like to find solutions of the underlying issues that are preventing our school to achieve better MCAS scores. I want to work with Estabrook PTO organization to find ways in bringing more enrichment programs to the school students. My experience in leading large projects with very significant capital budgets will be an asset for the school administration. It is important for me to have a balanced approach in formulating a school improvement plan that thoroughly examines all the needs of Estabrook’s diverse student community and sets up stretch goals with actionable paths to achieving those. Ultimately, my commitment is to make the Estabrook School an even better place for our elementary school kids to be ready for not only the middle school but also what life might throw at them as they grow up.

My name is Khalda Hashash I am a mother of Noon Akoad first grade. I am not working currently taking care of my husband and my three children. I had a Master of Science in Leadership/Communication at Northeastern University at 2012.

Why I would like to serve on the Estabrook School Council:
I am looking forward to be a part of the team that helping the principle to take care of all the issues that belongs to the Estabrook school in addition to learn more from the whole team that are all working together and with the principle for the success of the school.
