Fifth grade at Estabrook is a fun, memorable year for students and parents. We also need your help! Below is a description of what’s happening this year. Requests for fundraising support and parent volunteer begin in November. Please contact info@estabrookpto.org with questions. We hope you will consider getting involved in a way that works for you!

• Nature’s Classroom (June)
  This is an event the 5th graders look forward to the entire year! During this 3-day, 2-night field trip the children participate in outdoor educational lessons, activities, and community events. Students have an integral part in fundraising for their class trip.
• Kids’ Tables at the Holiday Marketplace (November 15)
  5th graders can sell their crafts, baked goods or other wares at this year’s new Holiday Marketplace! 5th graders who donate their proceeds to the Nature’s Classroom fund will have their registration fee waived.
• Bake Sales at PTO Events (Throughout the year)
  Your 5th grader can contribute baked goods or volunteer at bake sale tables throughout the year! Look for Sign-up Genius emails with options to donate baked goods as well as volunteer at various events.
• Pancake Breakfast (March 19)
  5th grade students will run the show for the Pancake Breakfast: waiting tables, serving meals and cleaning up. Proceeds from this event go to support 5th grade activities. This is a new event; we’ll need lots of help from both parents and students. Stay tuned!
• Yearbook (Collection of pictures will begin soon, yearbook distributed in June)
  Help us collect yearbook photos! This keepsake full of memories shows the 5th grade class through the years at Estabrook. Yearbook chairs will be in touch soon to solicit photos.
• T-Shirts (Distributed in May)
  Order a t-shirt featuring a motif of the graduation year filled with 5th grade signatures. The kids enjoy wearing these shirts at end-of-school events!
• Barbeque Party (June)
  The end-of-year Barbecue Party – an Estabrook tradition! 5th grade families have a blast eating, socializing and dancing. Volunteers needed for this event!
• Moving Up Ceremony (June)
  It’s the end of the year and the end of elementary school for our 5th graders! Students participate in a Moving Up Ceremony with their parents and teachers. A graduation social after the ceremony is organized and hosted by the 4th grade parents. Yearbooks are distributed and cake is enjoyed by all! No 5th grade parent volunteer help will be needed for this event. It’s your time to enjoy your last Estabrook event with your 5th grader!
